Acute Solutions was asked to help an early-stage medical device company develop their core technology and create a user-friendly design so they could start collecting feedback on their use model and core technology.
"Acute Solutions helped us develop our technology and guide us through the design process from early inception to production of a final device. Their feedback and expertise were invaluable when it came to planning resources and making key technical and business tradeoffs. Their experience and flexibility make them one of Novopyxis’ key partners."

At the core, Acute Solutions believes in solid long-term relationships.
“Whenever I give design projects to Acute Solutions, I have full confidence that they will be handled professionally with a clear and well thought out program management approach. The ability to manage a project, along with the ability to quickly understand the task at hand and a breadth of design experience, means that I can efficiently transmit my design requirements and trust Acute to execute on-time with no hand-holding or unnecessary detours. These qualities have made Acute Solutions a go-to engineering partner for bioDevice.”

Acute helped Cognex on several projects spearheading mechanical engineering and supporting optical design, test, manufacturing, and calibration strategy.
"Acute worked with me and my team at Cognex developing complex opto-mechanics for Vision Sensors. Chad impressed me on several fronts: the knowledge and experience he brought to the team, the contacts he has in industry, and his creativity towards overcoming engineering challenges. He is a reliable and fast contributor. I would be happy to have Chad on my team again."

Acute Solutions worked with Dr. Kaifeng Liu and the Technology and Innovation Development Office at Boston Children's Hospital to develop functional prototypes of a novel suturing device for soft tissue.
We worked closely with Dr. Liu and the manufacturing supply to meet needed performance goals.

Acute's Team helped Gray Optics on several technically challenging programs with great success.
"Chad is one of those rare engineers that also has the ability to develop and execute technical product development strategies at a high level of effectiveness. Specializing in mechanical and electrical systems for complex product development, he has demonstrated the ability to drive innovation and deliver results. I worked firsthand with Chad in a collaboration between our companies, where he lead the development of a novel diagnostic device. The project was fast-paced, complex, and multi-disciplinary. I highly recommend Chad as a technical program manager and technology leader."

In the midst of COVID, Dean Kamen asked me to come on board and take the lead role of Technical Program Manager and spearhead a new business unit for a novel, state-of-the-art medical device. Given my history with Dean and First Robotics, I had to take him up on the challenge. With a team of about 50 engineers, we achieved incredible acceleration and developed a robust, low-cost solution for the high-volume durable and super-high-volume disposable.
DEKA is now commercializing the technology.
"I had the opportunity to work with Chad during the peak of covid when it was difficult to get more than a few people in a room at one time to address all of the design and operational issues surrounding a new product. Chad's leadership, communication skills, and expertise in design management not only helped keep the team on track and focused on delivering a medical device, but also collaborated with the operations team to keep vendors moving to achieve the company's business objectives. I highly recommend Chad as an excellent design engineer, program manager, and people person."

While running Resolution Development's R&D Group, Chad spearheaded the development of Lantos's state-of-the-art ear canal mapping device. The team took an early concept, fully characterized its performance, and went forward with critical updates. The Resolution Team worked with both QiOptiq and bioDevice to prescribe a lighting and optical solution needed to meet their desired performance.
