Acute Solutions worked with Dr. Kaifeng Liu and the Technology and Innovation Development Office at Boston Children's Hospital to develop functional prototypes of a novel suturing device for soft tissue.

In the midst of COVID, Dean Kamen asked me to come on board and take the lead role of Technical Program Manager and spearhead a new business unit for a novel, state-of-the-art medical device. Given my history with Dean and First Robotics, I had to take him up on the challenge. With a team of about 50 engineers, we achieved incredible acceleration and developed a robust, low-cost solution for the high-volume durable and super-high-volume disposable.
DEKA is now commercializing the technology.

While running Resolution Development's R&D Group, Chad spearheaded the development of Lantos's state-of-the-art ear canal mapping device. The team took an early concept, fully characterized its performance, and went forward with critical updates. The Resolution Team worked with both QiOptiq and bioDevice to prescribe a lighting and optical solution needed to meet their desired performance.

While employed at Rapid Micro, Chad was the lead systems engineer and was critical to the architecture of the company's first Growth Direct System.
Chad managed the transfer to manufacturing, the first installations in Europe, and ramped up the service team.
